Leviticus 23:27-29

27 “On exactly (A)the tenth day of this seventh month is (B)the day of atonement; it shall be a holy convocation for you, and you shall humble your souls and bring an offering by fire near to Yahweh. 28 And you shall not do any work on this same day, for it is a (C)day of atonement, (D)to make atonement on your behalf before Yahweh your God. 29 If there is any [a]person who will not humble himself on this same day, (E)he shall be cut off from his people.

New International Version
27 “The tenth day of this seventh month(A) is the Day of Atonement.(B) Hold a sacred assembly(C) and deny yourselves,[a] and present a food offering to the Lord. 28 Do not do any work(D) on that day, because it is the Day of Atonement, when atonement is made for you before the Lord your God. 29 Those who do not deny themselves on that day must be cut off from their people.(E)
