16 this is what I will do to you: I will punish you with sudden terrors and panic, and with tuberculosis and burning fever; your eyes shall be consumed and your life shall ebb away; you will sow your crops in vain, for your enemies will eat them. 17 I will set my face against you and you will flee before your attackers; those who hate you will rule you; you will even run when no one is chasing you!
18 “And if you still disobey me, I will punish you seven times more severely for your sins.

16 then I will do this to you: I will bring on you sudden terror, wasting diseases and fever(A) that will destroy your sight and sap your strength.(B) You will plant seed in vain, because your enemies will eat it.(C) 17 I will set my face(D) against you so that you will be defeated(E) by your enemies;(F) those who hate you will rule over you,(G) and you will flee even when no one is pursuing you.(H)
