¹⁶Then the priest shall burn them on the altar as food offered to the Lord by fire. All fat belongs to the Lord.

¹⁷“It will be a perpetual statute throughout all your generations in all of your dwellings: you must not eat fat or blood.”

New International Version

¹⁶The priest shall burn them on the altar^(A) as a food offering,^(B) a pleasing aroma.^(C) All the fat^(D) is the Lord’s.^(E)

¹⁷“‘This is a lasting ordinance^(F) for the generations to come,^(G) wherever you live:^(H) You must not eat any fat or any blood.^(I)’”
