Leviticus 3:16-17

New Living Translation

¹⁶and the priest will burn them on the altar. It is a special gift of food, a pleasing aroma to the Lord. All the fat belongs to the Lord.

¹⁷“You must never eat any fat or blood. This is a permanent law for you, and it must be observed from generation to generation, wherever you live.”

New International Version

¹⁶The priest shall burn them on the altar^(A) as a food offering,^(B) a pleasing aroma.^(C) All the fat^(D) is the Lord’s.^(E)

¹⁷“‘This is a lasting ordinance^(F) for the generations to come,^(G) wherever you live:^(H) You must not eat any fat or any blood.^(I)’”
