^26 (A)All its fat he shall offer up in smoke on the altar as in the case of the fat of the sacrifice of peace offerings. Thus ^(B)the priest shall make atonement for him in regard to his sin, and he will be forgiven.

^28 (A)The priest shall make atonement before the Lord for the person who goes astray when he sins unintentionally, making atonement for him ^[a]that he may be forgiven.

¹⁷ Therefore, He ^[a]had ^(A)to be made like His brethren in all things, so that He might ^(B)become a merciful and faithful ^(C)high priest in ^(D)things pertaining to God, to ^(E)make propitiation for the sins of the people.
