(A)if the anointed priest sins so as to bring guilt on the people, then he is to offer to the Lord a [a]bull without defect as a sin offering for his sin which he has [b]committed. He shall bring the bull to the doorway of the tent of meeting before the Lord, and (B)he shall lay his hand on the head of the bull and slaughter the bull before the Lord. Then the (C)anointed priest is to take some of the blood of the bull and bring it to the tent of meeting, and the priest shall dip his finger in the blood and sprinkle some of the blood seven times before the Lord, in front of (D)the veil of the sanctuary. The priest shall also put some of the blood on the horns of (E)the altar of fragrant incense which is before the Lord in the tent of meeting; and all the rest of the blood of the bull he shall pour out at the base of the altar of burnt offering, which is at the doorway of the tent of meeting. And (F)he shall remove from it all the fat of the bull of the sin offering: the fat that covers the entrails, and all the fat which is on the entrails, and the two kidneys with the fat that is on them, which is on the loins, and the [c]lobe of the liver, which he shall remove (G)with the kidneys 10 (just as it is removed from the ox of the sacrifice of peace offerings); and the priest is to offer them up in smoke on the altar of burnt offering. 11 But (H)the hide of the bull and all its flesh, along with its head, its legs, its entrails, and its refuse, 12 [d]that is, all the rest of the bull, he is to bring out to (I)a clean place outside the camp where the fatty ashes are poured out, and burn it on wood with fire; where the fatty ashes are poured out it shall be burned.

13 (J)Now if the entire congregation of Israel does wrong unintentionally and the matter [e]escapes the notice of the assembly, and they commit any of the [f]things which the Lord has commanded not to be done, and they become guilty; 14 (K)when the sin [g]which they have [h]committed becomes known, then the assembly shall offer (L)a [i]bull of the herd as a sin offering and bring it in front of the tent of meeting.

“‘If the anointed priest(A) sins,(B) bringing guilt on the people, he must bring to the Lord a young bull(C) without defect(D) as a sin offering[a](E) for the sin he has committed.(F) He is to present the bull at the entrance to the tent of meeting before the Lord.(G) He is to lay his hand on its head and slaughter it there before the Lord. Then the anointed priest shall take some of the bull’s blood(H) and carry it into the tent of meeting. He is to dip his finger into the blood and sprinkle(I) some of it seven times before the Lord,(J) in front of the curtain of the sanctuary.(K) The priest shall then put some of the blood on the horns(L) of the altar of fragrant incense that is before the Lord in the tent of meeting. The rest of the bull’s blood he shall pour out at the base of the altar(M) of burnt offering(N) at the entrance to the tent of meeting. He shall remove all the fat(O) from the bull of the sin offering—all the fat that is connected to the internal organs, both kidneys with the fat on them near the loins, and the long lobe of the liver, which he will remove with the kidneys(P) 10 just as the fat is removed from the ox[b](Q) sacrificed as a fellowship offering.(R) Then the priest shall burn them on the altar of burnt offering.(S) 11 But the hide of the bull and all its flesh, as well as the head and legs, the internal organs and the intestines(T) 12 that is, all the rest of the bull—he must take outside the camp(U) to a place ceremonially clean,(V) where the ashes(W) are thrown, and burn it(X) there in a wood fire on the ash heap.(Y)

13 “‘If the whole Israelite community sins unintentionally(Z) and does what is forbidden in any of the Lord’s commands, even though the community is unaware of the matter, when they realize their guilt 14 and the sin they committed becomes known, the assembly must bring a young bull(AA) as a sin offering(AB) and present it before the tent of meeting.
