17 If any one sin through ignorance, and do one of those things which by the law of the Lord are forbidden, and being guilty of sin, understand his iniquity,

18 He shall offer of the flocks a ram without blemish to the priest, according to the measure and estimation of the sin: and the priest shall pray for him, because he did it ignorantly: and it shall be forgiven him,

19 Because by mistake he trespassed against the Lord.

17 “If anyone sins and does what is forbidden in any of the Lord’s commands, even though they do not know it,(A) they are guilty and will be held responsible.(B) 18 They are to bring to the priest as a guilt offering(C) a ram from the flock, one without defect and of the proper value. In this way the priest will make atonement for them for the wrong they have committed unintentionally, and they will be forgiven.(D) 19 It is a guilt offering; they have been guilty of[a] wrongdoing against the Lord.”(E)
