¹⁶ Aaron and his sons may eat the rest of it.^(A) It is to be eaten in the form of unleavened bread^(B) in a holy place;^(C) they are to eat it in the courtyard^(D) of the tent of meeting.

¹⁸ Any male among Aaron’s descendants^(A) may eat it. It is a permanent portion^[a](B) throughout your generations from the fire offerings to the Lord. Anything that touches the offerings will become holy.”^(C)

¹² Moses spoke to Aaron and his remaining sons, Eleazar and Ithamar: “Take the grain offering that is left over from the fire offerings^(A) to the Lord, and eat it prepared without yeast beside the altar, because it is especially holy.

¹³ Don’t you know that those who perform the temple services eat the food from the temple, and those who serve at the altar^(A) share in the offerings of the altar? ¹⁴ In the same way, the Lord has commanded that those who preach the gospel should earn their living by the gospel.^(B)
