or the thing about which he had given a false oath. He is to restore it in full, add a fifth to it, then give it to whom it belongs the very day he’s found guilty. Now as to his guilt offering, he is to bring to the Lord a ram without defect from the flock, estimated as to its value, to the priest. Then the priest is to make atonement for him in the Lord’s presence, and it will be forgiven him regarding whatever he did.”

or whatever it was they swore falsely about. They must make restitution(A) in full, add a fifth of the value to it and give it all to the owner on the day they present their guilt offering.(B) And as a penalty they must bring to the priest, that is, to the Lord, their guilt offering,(C) a ram from the flock, one without defect and of the proper value.(D) In this way the priest will make atonement(E) for them before the Lord, and they will be forgiven for any of the things they did that made them guilty.”
