or any other object he lied about. He will repay it entirely plus ⅕ of its value. He must give it to its rightful owner the very day he gives his guilt offering. He is to bring to the priest an unblemished ram or its equivalent value as his guilt offering to Me. The priest will make atonement and cover the guilty person’s wrong before Me, and the guilty will be forgiven for anything that he did wrong.

or whatever it was they swore falsely about. They must make restitution(A) in full, add a fifth of the value to it and give it all to the owner on the day they present their guilt offering.(B) And as a penalty they must bring to the priest, that is, to the Lord, their guilt offering,(C) a ram from the flock, one without defect and of the proper value.(D) In this way the priest will make atonement(E) for them before the Lord, and they will be forgiven for any of the things they did that made them guilty.”
