^24 (A)Then fire went out from the Lord and consumed the burnt offering and the portions of fat on the altar; and when all the people saw it, they shouted and fell ^[a]face downward.

¹⁶ Then David raised his eyes and saw the angel of the Lord standing between earth and heaven, with his drawn sword in his hand stretched out over Jerusalem. Then David and the elders, ^(A)covered with sackcloth, fell on their faces.

²⁸ Like the appearance of the ^(A)rainbow ^[a]in the clouds on a rainy day, so was the appearance of the surrounding radiance. Such was the appearance of the likeness of the ^(B)glory of the Lord. And when I saw it, I ^(C)fell on my face and heard a voice speaking.

⁶ When the disciples heard this, they fell ^[a]face down to the ground and were terrified.
