²⁵ Whoever picks up one of their carcasses must wash their clothes,^(A) and they will be unclean till evening.^(B)

⁸ “The person to be cleansed must wash their clothes,^(A) shave off all their hair and bathe with water;^(B) then they will be ceremonially clean.^(C) After this they may come into the camp,^(D) but they must stay outside their tent for seven days.

¹⁵ “‘Anyone, whether native-born or foreigner, who eats anything^(A) found dead or torn by wild animals^(B) must wash their clothes and bathe with water,^(C) and they will be ceremonially unclean till evening;^(D) then they will be clean.

⁸ He must not eat anything found dead^(A) or torn by wild animals,^(B) and so become unclean^(C) through it. I am the Lord.^(D)

³¹ The priests must not eat anything, whether bird or animal, found dead^(A) or torn by wild animals.^(B)

¹⁰ They are only a matter of food^(A) and drink^(B) and various ceremonial washings^(C)—external regulations^(D) applying until the time of the new order.
