^17 (A)‘You shall not hate your brother in your heart. ^(B)You shall surely ^[a]rebuke your neighbor, and not bear sin because of him.

³ Take heed to yourselves. ^(A)If your brother sins ^[a]against you, ^(B)rebuke him; and if he repents, forgive him.

⁴ And if he sins against you seven times in a day, and seven times in a day returns ^[a]to you, saying, ‘I repent,’ you shall forgive him.”

6 Brethren, if a man is ^[a]overtaken in any trespass, you who are spiritual restore such a one in a spirit of ^(A)gentleness, considering yourself lest you also be tempted.

^15 (A)Yet do not count him as an enemy, ^(B)but ^[a]admonish him as a brother.
