³¹ “Do not turn to mediums^[a](A) or consult spiritists,^[b](B) or you will be defiled by them; I am Yahweh your God.

²⁷ A man or a woman who is^[a] a medium or a spiritist must be put to death. They are to be stoned; their blood is on their own hands.”^[b]

¹⁰ No one among you is to make his son or daughter pass through the fire,^[a](A) practice divination, tell fortunes, interpret omens, practice sorcery, ¹¹ cast spells, consult a medium or a familiar spirit, or inquire of the dead.^(B)
