³⁰ The priest shall then take some of its blood on his finger and put it on the horns of the altar for burnt offerings. The rest of the blood he shall pour out at the base of the altar.

³⁴ The priest shall then take some of the blood of the purification offering on his finger and put it on the horns of the altar for burnt offerings. The rest of the blood he shall pour out at the base of the altar.

¹⁵ When it was slaughtered, Moses took the blood^[a] and with his finger he put it on the horns around the altar, thus purifying the altar.^(A) He poured out the rest of the blood at the base of the altar. Thus he consecrated it so that atonement could be made on it.

⁹ When his sons presented the blood to him, he dipped his finger in the blood and put it on the horns of the altar.^(A) The rest of the blood he poured out at the base of the altar.

^18 [a]he shall come out to the altar before the Lord and purge it also. Taking some of the bull’s and the goat’s blood, he shall put it on the horns around the altar,

¹² Take some of its blood and with your finger put it on the horns of the altar. All the rest of the blood you shall pour out at the base of the altar.

²⁰ You shall take some of its blood and smear it on the four horns of the altar, and on the four corners of the ledge, and all around its rim. Thus you shall purify and purge it.^(A)

⁷ The priest shall also put some of the blood on the horns of the altar of fragrant incense which stands before the Lord in the tent of meeting. The rest of the bull’s blood he shall pour out at the base of the altar for burnt offerings which is at the entrance of the tent of meeting.
