5 “‘If anyone sins because they do not speak up when they hear a public charge to testify^(A) regarding something they have seen or learned about, they will be held responsible.^(B)

¹⁷ “Why didn’t you eat the sin offering^(A) in the sanctuary area? It is most holy; it was given to you to take away the guilt^(B) of the community by making atonement for them before the Lord.

²² The goat will carry on itself all their sins^(A) to a remote place; and the man shall release it in the wilderness.

⁹ “‘The priests are to perform my service^(A) in such a way that they do not become guilty^(B) and die^(C) for treating it with contempt. I am the Lord, who makes them holy.^(D)

¹⁶ by allowing them to eat^(A) the sacred offerings and so bring upon them guilt^(B) requiring payment.^(C) I am the Lord, who makes them holy.^(D)’”

Duties of Priests and Levites

18 The Lord said to Aaron, “You, your sons and your family are to bear the responsibility for offenses connected with the sanctuary,^(A) and you and your sons alone are to bear the responsibility for offenses connected with the priesthood.
