¹⁷ And he will go before him in the spirit and power of Elijah, to turn the hearts of fathers to their children,^(A) and the disobedient to the understanding of the righteous, to make ready for the Lord a prepared people.”^(B)

³ A voice of one crying out:

3 “See, I am going to send my messenger,^(A) and he will clear the way before me.^(B) Then the Lord you seek^(C) will suddenly come to his temple,^(D) the Messenger of the covenant you delight in—see, he is coming,” says the Lord of Armies.
