26 And he said unto him, What is written in the law? how readest thou? 27 And he answering said, [a]Thou shalt love the Lord thy God [b]with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thy mind; [c]and thy neighbor as thyself. 28 And he said unto him, Thou hast answered right: this do, and thou shalt live.

26 “What is written in the Law?” he replied. “How do you read it?”
27 He answered, “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind’[a];(A) and, ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’[b]”(B)
28 “You have answered correctly,” Jesus replied. “Do this and you will live.”(C)
