Amplified Bible
37 He answered, “The one who showed compassion and mercy to him.” Then Jesus said to him, “Go and constantly do the same.”

38 Now while they were on their way, Jesus entered a village [called Bethany], and a woman named Martha welcomed Him into her home.(A) 39 She had a sister named Mary, who seated herself at the Lord’s feet and was continually listening to His teaching.

38 As Jesus and his disciples were on their way, he came to a village where a woman named Martha(A) opened her home to him. 39 She had a sister called Mary,(B) who sat at the Lord’s feet(C) listening to what he said.
