³⁹She had a sister named Mary, who seated herself at the Lord’s feet and was continually listening to His teaching.

³⁹And she had a sister called Mary, which also sat at Jesus' feet, and heard his word.

⁴²but only one thing is necessary, for Mary has chosen the good part [that which is to her advantage], which will not be taken away from her.”

⁴²But one thing is needful: and Mary hath chosen that good part, which shall not be taken away from her.

“Indeed, He loves His people;
All ^[a]Your holy ones are in Your hand.
They followed in Your steps;
They accept and receive direction from You.

³Yea, he loved the people; all his saints are in thy hand: and they sat down at thy feet; every one shall receive of thy words.
