Luke 13:33-35

33 Yet it is necessary that I(A) travel today, tomorrow, and the next day, because it is not possible for a prophet(B) to perish(C) outside of Jerusalem.

34 “Jerusalem, Jerusalem,(D) who kills the prophets and stones(E) those who are sent to her.(F) How often I wanted to gather your children(G) together, as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings,(H) but you were not willing!(I) 35 See, your house is abandoned to you.(J) I tell you, you will not see me until the time comes when[a] you say, ‘Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord’!”[b](K)

33 In any case, I must press on today and tomorrow and the next day—for surely no prophet(A) can die outside Jerusalem!
34 “Jerusalem, Jerusalem, you who kill the prophets and stone those sent to you, how often I have longed to gather your children together, as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings,(B) and you were not willing. 35 Look, your house is left to you desolate.(C) I tell you, you will not see me again until you say, ‘Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord.’[a]”(D)
