Luke 13:34-35
Good News Translation
34 (A)“Jerusalem, Jerusalem! You kill the prophets, you stone the messengers God has sent you! How many times I wanted to put my arms around all your people, just as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings, but you would not let me! 35 (B)And so your Temple will be abandoned. I assure you that you will not see me until the time comes when you say, ‘God bless him who comes in the name of the Lord.’”

34 “Jerusalem, Jerusalem, you who kill the prophets and stone those sent to you, how often I have longed to gather your children together, as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings,(A) and you were not willing. 35 Look, your house is left to you desolate.(B) I tell you, you will not see me again until you say, ‘Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord.’[a]”(C)
