12 And if you cannot be trusted with what belongs to someone else, who will give you something that will be your own? 13 (A) You cannot be the slave of two masters. You will like one more than the other or be more loyal to one than to the other. You cannot serve God and money.

12 And if you have not been trustworthy with someone else’s property, who will give you property of your own?
13 “No one can serve two masters. Either you will hate the one and love the other, or you will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money.”(A)
14 The Pharisees, who loved money,(B) heard all this and were sneering at Jesus.(C)
