The Coming of the Son of Man
22 And he said to the disciples, “Days will come when you will desire to see one of the days of the Son of Man, and you will not see it.[a] 23 And they will say to you, ‘Behold, there!’ ‘Behold, here!’[b] Do not go out or run after them![c] 24 For just as the lightning shines forth, flashing from one place under heaven to another place under heaven, so the Son of Man will be in his day.

22 Then he said to his disciples, “The time is coming when you will long to see one of the days of the Son of Man,(A) but you will not see it.(B) 23 People will tell you, ‘There he is!’ or ‘Here he is!’ Do not go running off after them.(C) 24 For the Son of Man in his day[a] will be like the lightning,(D) which flashes and lights up the sky from one end to the other.
