And she brought forth her first begotten son, and wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a cratch, because there was no room for them in the inn.

[a]And there were in the same country shepherds, [b]abiding in the field, and keeping watch by night over their flock.

And lo, the Angel of the Lord [c]came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone about them, and they were sore afraid.
