26 And they were unable to (A)catch Him in a statement in the presence of the people; and they were amazed at His answer, and said nothing.

27 (B)Now some of the (C)Sadducees (who maintain that there is no resurrection) came to Him, 28 and they questioned Him, saying, “Teacher, Moses wrote for us that (D)if [a]a man’s brother dies, [b]leaving a wife, and he is childless, that his brother is to [c]marry the wife and raise up children [d]for his brother.

26 They were unable to trap him in what he had said there in public. And astonished by his answer, they became silent.
