24 And they began to argue among themselves as to who would have the highest rank in the coming Kingdom.[a]
25 Jesus told them, “In this world the kings and great men order their slaves around, and the slaves have no choice but to like it![b] 26 But among you, the one who serves you best will be your leader.

24 A dispute also arose among them as to which of them was considered to be greatest.(A) 25 Jesus said to them, “The kings of the Gentiles lord it over them; and those who exercise authority over them call themselves Benefactors. 26 But you are not to be like that. Instead, the greatest among you should be like the youngest,(B) and the one who rules like the one who serves.(C)
