52 Then Jesus said to the chief priests, temple police, and the elders who had come for Him, “Have you come out with swords and clubs as if I were a criminal?[a] 53 Every day while I was with you in the temple complex,(A) you never laid a hand on Me. But this is your hour(B)—and the dominion of darkness.”(C)

52 Then Jesus said to the chief priests, the officers of the temple guard,(A) and the elders, who had come for him, “Am I leading a rebellion, that you have come with swords and clubs? 53 Every day I was with you in the temple courts,(B) and you did not lay a hand on me. But this is your hour(C)—when darkness reigns.”(D)

54 Then seizing him, they led him away and took him into the house of the high priest.(F) Peter followed at a distance.(G)

52 Then Jesus said unto the chief priests, and captains of the temple, and the elders, which were come to him, Be ye come out, as against a thief, with swords and staves?
53 When I was daily with you in the temple, ye stretched forth no hands against me: but this is your hour, and the power of darkness.
54 Then took they him, and led him, and brought him into the high priest's house. And Peter followed afar off.
