³⁵ And the people stood by, looking on. And even the ^(A)rulers were sneering at Him, saying, “He saved others; ^(B)let Him save Himself if this is the ^[a]Christ of God, His Chosen One.”

²⁶ Look, He is speaking publicly, and they are saying nothing to Him. ^(A)The rulers do not really know that this is ^[a]the Christ, do they?

^48 (A)No one of ^(B)the rulers or Pharisees has believed in Him, has he?

⁴² Nevertheless ^(A)many even of ^(B)the rulers believed in Him, but ^(C)because of the Pharisees they were not confessing Him, for fear that they would be ^[a](D)put out of the synagogue;

¹⁷ “And now, brethren, I know that you acted ^(A)in ignorance, just as your ^(B)rulers did also.

⁵ On the next day, their ^(A)rulers and elders and scribes were gathered together in Jerusalem;

⁸ Then Peter, ^[a](A)filled with the Holy Spirit, said to them, “^[b](B)Rulers and elders of the people,

²⁷ For those who live in Jerusalem, and their ^(A)rulers, ^(B)recognizing neither Him nor the ^[a]utterances of ^(C)the prophets which are ^(D)read every Sabbath, fulfilled these by condemning Him.
