45 and the sun was darkened. And the veil of the temple did tear, right through the middle. 46 And Jesus cried with a great voice and said, Father, into your hands I commit my spirit. And when he had thus spoken, he gave up the spirit.
47 When the centurion saw what had happened, he glorified God, saying, Surely this was a just man.

45 for the sun stopped shining. And the curtain of the temple(A) was torn in two.(B) 46 Jesus called out with a loud voice,(C) “Father, into your hands I commit my spirit.”[a](D) When he had said this, he breathed his last.(E)
47 The centurion, seeing what had happened, praised God(F) and said, “Surely this was a righteous man.”
