Luke 23:6-8
New Living Translation
6 “Oh, is he a Galilean?” Pilate asked. 7 When they said that he was, Pilate sent him to Herod Antipas, because Galilee was under Herod’s jurisdiction, and Herod happened to be in Jerusalem at the time.
8 Herod was delighted at the opportunity to see Jesus, because he had heard about him and had been hoping for a long time to see him perform a miracle.

New International Version
6 On hearing this, Pilate asked if the man was a Galilean.(A) 7 When he learned that Jesus was under Herod’s jurisdiction, he sent him to Herod,(B) who was also in Jerusalem at that time.
8 When Herod saw Jesus, he was greatly pleased, because for a long time he had been wanting to see him.(C) From what he had heard about him, he hoped to see him perform a sign of some sort.
