¹⁷ And the ^[a]book of the prophet Isaiah was handed to Him. And He opened the ^[b]book and found the place where it was written,

⁴⁵ Do not think that I will accuse you before the Father; the one who accuses you is ^(A)Moses, in whom you have set your hope. ⁴⁶ For if you believed Moses, you would believe Me, for ^(B)he wrote about Me. ⁴⁷ But ^(C)if you do not believe his writings, how will you believe My words?”

²¹ For ^(A)Moses from ancient generations has in every city those who preach him, since ^[a]he is read in the synagogues every Sabbath.”
