15 But the seed in the good ground—these are the ones who,[a] having heard the word with an honest and good heart, hold on to it and by enduring,(A) bear fruit.

16 “No one, after lighting a lamp,(B) covers it with a basket or puts it under a bed, but puts it on a lampstand so that those who come in may see its light.(C) 17 For nothing is concealed that won’t be revealed, and nothing hidden that won’t be made known and come to light.(D)

A Lamp on a Stand
16 “No one lights a lamp and hides it in a clay jar or puts it under a bed. Instead, they put it on a stand, so that those who come in can see the light.(A) 17 For there is nothing hidden that will not be disclosed, and nothing concealed that will not be known or brought out into the open.(B)
