⁴⁶ After three days, they found him in the temple sitting among the teachers, listening to them and asking them questions.

The Son of Man Forgives and Heals

¹⁷ On one of those days while he was teaching, Pharisees and teachers of the law^(A) were sitting there who had come from every village of Galilee and Judea, and also from Jerusalem. And the Lord’s power to heal was in him.^(B)

³ He^(A) continued, “I am a Jew, born in Tarsus of Cilicia but brought up in this city, educated at the feet of Gamaliel^(B) according to the strictness of our ancestral law. I was zealous for God, just as all of you are today.^(C)
