⁵¹ And while He was blessing them, He left them and was carried up into heaven.^(A)

¹³ No one has ascended^(A) into heaven^(B) except the One who descended from heaven^(C)—the Son of Man.^[a](D)

⁶² Then what if you were to observe the Son of Man^(A) ascending^(B) to where He was before?

The Ascension

⁹ After He had said this, He was taken up as they were watching, and a cloud took Him out of their sight. ¹⁰ While He was going, they were gazing into heaven, and suddenly two men in white clothes stood by them.^{(A) 11} They said, “Men of Galilee, why do you stand looking up into heaven? This Jesus, who has been taken from you into heaven, will come in the same way that you have seen Him going into heaven.”^(B)

³³ Therefore, since He has been exalted to the right hand of God^(A) and has received from the Father the promised Holy Spirit,^(B) He has poured out^(C) what you both see and hear. ³⁴ For it was not David who ascended into the heavens, but he himself says:

⁶ But the righteousness that comes from faith^(A) speaks like this: Do not say in your heart, “Who will go up to heaven?”^(B)[a] that is, to bring Christ down

God’s Power in Christ

²⁰ He demonstrated this power in the Messiah by raising Him from the dead and seating Him at His right hand^(A) in the heavens^(B)— ²¹ far above every ruler and authority, power and dominion, and every title given,^[a](C) not only in this age but also in the one to come.^(D)

⁸ For it says:

²² Now that He has gone into heaven,^(A) He is at God’s right hand^(B) with angels, authorities, and powers subject to Him.^(C)
