¹⁷ And the scroll of Isaiah the prophet was handed to Him. And He unrolled the scroll and found the place where it was written:

⁴⁵ Do not think that I will accuse you before the Father; the one who accuses you is ^(A)Moses, in whom you have put your hope. ⁴⁶ For if you believed Moses, you would believe Me; for ^(B)he wrote about Me. ⁴⁷ But ^(C)if you do not believe his writings, how will you believe My words?”

²¹ For ^(A)from ancient generations Moses has those who preach him in every city, since ^[a]he is read in the synagogues every Sabbath.”
