¹⁸ “^(A)The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me,
Because He anointed Me to bring good news to the poor.
He has sent Me to proclaim release to captives,
And recovery of sight to the blind,
To set free those who are oppressed,
^19 (B)To proclaim the favorable year of the Lord.”

61 The ^(A)Spirit of the Lord ^[a]God is upon me,
Because the Lord anointed me
To ^(B)bring good news to the ^(C)humble;
He has sent me to ^(D)bind up the brokenhearted,
To ^(E)proclaim ^[b]release to captives
And ^[c]freedom to prisoners;
² To ^(F)proclaim the favorable year of the Lord
And the ^(G)day of vengeance of our God;
To ^(H)comfort all who mourn,

⁶ “I am the Lord, I have ^(A)called You in righteousness,
I will also ^(B)hold You by the hand and ^(C)watch over You,
And I will appoint You as a ^(D)covenant to the people,
As a ^(E)light to the nations,
⁷ To ^(F)open blind eyes,
To ^(G)bring out prisoners from the dungeon
And those who dwell in darkness from the prison.
