^22 (A)Blessed are you when the people hate you, and when they ^[a](B)exclude you, and insult you, and scorn your name as evil, on account of the Son of Man.

⁴² Nevertheless ^(A)many, even of ^(B)the rulers, believed in Him, but ^(C)because of the Pharisees they were not confessing Him, so that they would not be ^(D)excommunicated from the synagogue;

² They will ^[a](A)ban you from the synagogue, yet ^(B)an hour is coming for everyone ^(C)who kills you to think that he is offering a ^[b]service to God.
