Herod’s Confusion about Jesus

Now Herod[a] the tetrarch[b] heard about everything that was happening, and he was thoroughly perplexed,[c] because some people were saying that John[d] had been raised from the dead, while others were saying that Elijah[e] had appeared, and still others that one of the prophets of long ago had risen.[f]
