Malachi 3:2-3
New King James Version
2 “But who can endure (A)the day of His coming?
And (B)who can stand when He appears?
For (C)He is like a refiner’s fire
And like launderers’ soap.
3 (D)He will sit as a refiner and a purifier of silver;
He will purify the sons of Levi,
And [a]purge them as gold and silver,
That they may (E)offer to the Lord
An offering in righteousness.

2 But who can endure the day of His coming? And who can stand when He appears? For He is like a refiner’s fire and like launderer’s soap [which removes impurities and uncleanness].(A) 3 He will sit as a refiner and purifier of silver, and He will purify the sons of Levi [the priests], and refine them like gold and silver, so that they may present to the Lord [grain] offerings in righteousness.
