Mark 12:27-29

27 God is not the God of the dead, but the God of the living. Ye are therefore greatly deceived.
28 ¶ (A)[a]Then came one of the Scribes that had heard them disputing together, and perceiving that he had answered them well, he asked him, Which is the first commandment of all?
29 Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments is, (B)Hear, Israel, The Lord our God is the only Lord.

The Greatest Commandment(A)
28 One of the teachers of the law(B) came and heard them debating. Noticing that Jesus had given them a good answer, he asked him, “Of all the commandments, which is the most important?”
29 “The most important one,” answered Jesus, “is this: ‘Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one.[a]
