29 Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments is, (A)Hear, Israel, The Lord our God is the only Lord.
30 Thou shalt therefore love the Lord thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment.
31 And the second is like, that is, (B)Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these.

29 “The most important one,” answered Jesus, “is this: ‘Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one.[a] 30 Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.’[b](A) 31 The second is this: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’[c](B) There is no commandment greater than these.”
