10 Then(A) Judas Iscariot,(B) one of the Twelve,(C) went to the chief priests(D) to betray Jesus(E) to them. 11 And when they heard this, they were glad and promised to give him money.(F) So he started looking for a good opportunity to betray(G) him.

10 Then Judas Iscariot, one of the Twelve,(A) went to the chief priests to betray Jesus to them.(B) 11 They were delighted to hear this and promised to give him money. So he watched for an opportunity to hand him over.

Then(A) Satan entered Judas,(B) called Iscariot,(C) who was numbered among the Twelve. He went away and discussed with the chief priests and temple police(D) how he could hand him over(E) to them. They were glad and agreed to give him silver.[a] So he accepted the offer and started looking for a good opportunity to betray him to them when the crowd was not present.
