²⁶After singing a hymn [^Cprobably the Hallel psalms (Ps. 113—118), sung during the Passover meal], they went out to the Mount of Olives.

²⁷Then Jesus told them, “You will all ·stumble in your faith [fall away; desert me], because it is written in the Scriptures:

‘I will ·kill [strike] the shepherd,
and the sheep will ·scatter [be scattered]’ [Zech. 13:7].

²⁸But after ·I rise from the dead [^LI am raised], I will go ahead of you into Galilee.”
