5 For this oil might have been sold for more than 300 denarii(A) and given to the poor.”(B) And they began to scold her.
6 Then Jesus said, “Leave her alone. Why are you bothering her? She has done a noble thing(C) for Me. 7 You always have the poor(D) with you, and you can do what is good for them whenever you want, but you do not always have Me.(E)

6 “Leave her alone,” said Jesus. “Why are you bothering her? She has done a beautiful thing to me. 7 The poor you will always have with you,[b] and you can help them any time you want.(A) But you will not always have me.
