New International Version

¹⁰She went and told those who had been with him and who were mourning and weeping.

⁴⁸And the whole crowd who came together to that sight, seeing what had been done, beat their breasts and returned.

⁴⁸When all the people who had gathered to witness this sight saw what took place, they beat their breasts^(A) and went away.

¹⁷And He said to them, “What kind of conversation is this that you have with one another as you ^[a]walk and are sad?”

¹⁷He asked them, “What are you discussing together as you walk along?”

They stood still, their faces downcast.
