9 [a]And he said unto them, Well ye reject the commandment of God, that ye may observe your own tradition.
10 For Moses said, (A)Honor thy father and thy mother: and (B)Whosoever shall speak evil of father or mother, let him [b]die the death.
11 But ye say, If a man say to father or mother, Corban, that is, By the gift that is offered by me, thou mayest have profit, he shall be free.

9 And he continued, “You have a fine way of setting aside the commands of God in order to observe[a] your own traditions!(A) 10 For Moses said, ‘Honor your father and mother,’[b](B) and, ‘Anyone who curses their father or mother is to be put to death.’[c](C) 11 But you say(D) that if anyone declares that what might have been used to help their father or mother is Corban (that is, devoted to God)—
