The Pharisees Seek a Sign(A)

11 (B)Then the Pharisees came out and began to dispute with Him, seeking from Him a sign from heaven, testing Him. 12 But He (C)sighed deeply in His spirit, and said, “Why does this generation seek a sign? Assuredly, I say to you, (D)no sign shall be given to this generation.”

13 And He left them, and getting into the boat again, departed to the other side.

54 Then He also said to the multitudes, (B)“Whenever you see a cloud rising out of the west, immediately you say, ‘A shower is coming’; and so it is. 55 And when you see the (C)south wind blow, you say, ‘There will be hot weather’; and there is. 56 Hypocrites! You can discern the face of the sky and of the earth, but how is it you do not discern (D)this time?

54 He said to the crowd: “When you see a cloud rising in the west, immediately you say, ‘It’s going to rain,’ and it does.(A) 55 And when the south wind blows, you say, ‘It’s going to be hot,’ and it is. 56 Hypocrites! You know how to interpret the appearance of the earth and the sky. How is it that you don’t know how to interpret this present time?(B)
