18 Do you have eyes, but fail to see? Do you have ears, but fail to hear?[a] Don’t you remember? 19 When I broke the five loaves for the 5,000, how many baskets did you fill with leftover pieces?”
They told him, “Twelve.”
20 “When I broke[b] the seven loaves[c] for the 4,000, how many large baskets did you fill with the leftover pieces?”
They told him, “Seven.”

20 “And when I broke the seven loaves for the four thousand, how many basketfuls of pieces did you pick up?”
