Mark 9:26-28
New English Translation
26 It shrieked, threw him into terrible convulsions, and came out. The boy[a] looked so much like a corpse that many said, “He is dead!” 27 But Jesus gently took his hand and raised him to his feet, and he stood up.
28 Then,[b] after he went into the house, his disciples asked him privately, “Why couldn’t we cast it out?”

New International Version
26 The spirit shrieked, convulsed him violently and came out. The boy looked so much like a corpse that many said, “He’s dead.” 27 But Jesus took him by the hand and lifted him to his feet, and he stood up.
28 After Jesus had gone indoors, his disciples asked him privately,(A) “Why couldn’t we drive it out?”
